"Christmas in a shoebox"– BINDER-trainees give back

This year, our trainees had something special in mind: In the spirit of Christmas, they wanted to give something back. On Instructor Robert Pejakic suggestion, they choose the "Christmas in a Shoebox" campaign. The aid organization Samaritan's Purse delivers shoeboxes filled with presents to third world children in need.

The BINDER trainees first voluntarily donated money and this resulted in approximately 130 euros for the purchase of potential gifts. The neighboring shoe store provided the boxes free of charge. In the end, the boxes contained mainly hygiene articles - because according to the aid organization, this is what is needed the most. Naturally, some toys and sweets were also included. Six trainees and one intern packed the boxes in late October whilst listening to Christmas music and enjoying merry conversations. The project team also covered the transport costs.

Overall, our young colleagues reported a "very nice experience" and the intention to participate more often in this kind of events.

This way of thinking is in line with our values at BINDER - which is why we say: Keep it up!
